Ticket Information
Tickets for all New York events have been allocated to parishes within the Archdiocese of New York and to Bishops in dioceses outside the Archdiocese of New York.
All ticket deadlines for New York events have passed.
Tickets will be mailed after April 1st.
The Archdiocese of New York Office of the Papal Visit is responsible for distributing tickets for all events held during the Papal Visit to the Archdiocese.
Ticket information for individuals who live in the Archdiocese of New York
If you live within the Archdiocese of New York:
- Tickets for the Mass for Priests, Deacons, and Religious Men and Women, to be held at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick, have been allocated through vicariate offices, congregational offices, and the diaconate office.
- Tickets for the Holy Father's Meeting with Youth and Seminarians (the Youth Rally) have been allocated to young people, seminarians and individuals in formation for religious life in the Archdiocese of New York through Catholic schools, parish catechetical programs, parish youth groups, Seminaries, etc.
- Tickets for the Solemn Pontifical Mass at Yankee Stadium were distributed through parishes. Pastors received detailed information regarding ticket allocations and distribution in February. Tickets will be mailed in early April.
Ticket information for individuals who live outside the Archdiocese of New York
If you live outside the Archdiocese of New York:
- Tickets for the Mass for Priests, Deacons, and Religious Men and Women, to be held at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick, have been allocated to your bishop's office. Tickets will be mailed in early April.
- Tickets for the Holy Father's Meeting with Youth and Seminarians (the Youth Rally) have been allocated to young people, seminarians and individuals in formation for religious life to your bishop's office in dioceses in the immediate New York metropolitan area. Tickets will be mailed in early April.
- Each diocese outside the Archdiocese of New York has been given the opportunity to receive an allotment of tickets for the Solemn Pontifical Mass at Yankee Stadium. Individuals in dioceses outside the Archdiocese of New York should contact their local bishop to ascertain the availability of tickets. Tickets will be mailed in early April.
General Ticket Information
It is important to note the following:
- There will be two public events within The Archdiocese of New York:
- The Holy Father's Meeting with Youth and Seminarians (the Youth Rally)at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008, and
- The Mass at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, April 20, 2008;
- Tickets to all events are free. Any tickets for sale on websites or through ticket brokers are fraudulent;
- Individuals who request tickets will be required to provide name, address, and date of birth;
- All tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Adult ticket holders will be required to show government issued photo identification at the entrance to the event. Students will be required to show student identification cards; and
- All individuals entering the events will be subject to search by the United States Secret Service, the New York City Police Department, and/or the Yonkers Police Department.
